I often take hundreds of photographs when I am out and about. And when it comes to the editing stage some stand out more than others. Sometimes I go back to them a few days or a week later and I discover a different perspective to those that didn’t make the grade the first time. Maybe it is because I am calmer the second time around. Is life like that too? Sometimes I think it is good to walk away from something and then come back to it. That way we can settle the emotions, take a deep breath, take time to think. And then, well then, we go back and discover something new, something more beautiful, or thought provoking.
These are two photographs I almost walked away from. But thank god for that ‘taking a second look’. They are now amongst my favourites from my recent trip to Cornwall.

No problem! You could seriously sell your photos though, they’re really unbelievable….

Aww thanks. I’ve often wondered if I was doing things right. That’s a lovely thing to say. I was thinking of doing an exhibition too.
