Despite the dizziness and the feelings of nausea, possibly from the thought of someone cutting away inside of my head, I managed to get out into the woods today. And it was certainly a breath of fresh air, in more ways then one. At long last, after around 18 months I am finally starting to be able to smell things again. Its quite a heady thing at the moment though, my brain is being bombarded with all these smells and I am desperately trying to make sense of them. It is the most strangest thing.
But the smell of autumn was divine. That and the colour, the squirrels, the robins, oh and the peace and quiet. My senses were overloaded, but happily so. Autumn is such a beautiful time of the year. A prelude to Winter. You can’t help but marvel at the display that Nature makes at this time of the year. I love Spring because it is like a birth but Autumn is creeping up close behind in the favourite time of the year stakes.
